I remember the winter of 1947 i was staying with an arnt in a prefab in walthmstow e17 whilst my mum was in hospital. we kept having power cuts and the snow was nearly as deep as i was high .in 1963 it all happened again thist time i was in cardiff working on the new gasboard hq having just come back from the middle east my blood was still to thin so it was me who ended up in hospital with the flew my mum wrote and thanked the lady where i was staying for looking after me they remained friends untill she died in 1993 . i am 70 now and have children and grandchildren of my own i hope they dont have eny winters like that. just a point in 1963 the clever folk who know everthing told us that we were heading straight into the next ice age they were wrong then and they are still telling us that they know everything
