Dewsbury MP and government minister Shahid Malik called for an independent review into the contacts social services had with Shannon Matthews prior to her disappearance in February
Alison from London: Does spelling and grammar matter more than people contributing their opinions? I wasn't aware that only those with perfect English skills could make valid points. Did you have a point?
Let's do it again, forget the Mum and her demented boyfriend who are real culprits, but then state has to take responsibility for everything nowadays. Let's have an enquiry costing few millions of taxpayers money, shift the blame on some government agency, sack some social workers, satisfy the human rights freaks and the media and just forget the real criminals in this case like every other case.
not my decision and no nothing about social workers, or how they do their jobs... have zero idea how the rules they follow are created.. and how they track victims etc... so as far as i can comment on this question, is... questions need answers, and action needs taking... i know the questions, i can guess the answers, but the action is out of my hands... amen
why?nothing will get done nothing will change.
When will someone accept that the Social Workers hands are tied by regulations and laws outside their control. They are very often under paid, over worked, under staffed and facing traumatic incidents every day that most of us can not imagine. STOP blaming the people trying their best to cope and start blaming society and the parents / carers.
Until people are made to stand accountable for bringing up their own children properly and caring for them in a loving home then we will never get anywhere --- It isnt the politicians to blame, the teachers, the social workers, the authority --- it is the parents !!!!
With children comes responsibility --- the problem today is that too many parents want everyone else to take care of their children for them ............
