Jonathan Ross will learn whether he can return to his job as a BBC presenter when the corporation's governing body responds to the Andrew Sachs row on Friday
No, he should have been sacked - he created the material that caused the offence, so should have suffered the same fate as those who allowed its publication. 3 months suspension without pay isn't going to hurt someone on £6 million a year, just a slap on the wrist.
To all those who say it was 'just a prank', just for a laugh' etc., I must point out that what he and Brand did was to commit a criminal offense. Had Mr Sacks reported it to the Police they may have been prosecuted. The situation was exacerbated by the fact that they did it so publicly and as a Police Officer I know that my organisation would consider it an extremely serious matter. SACK HIM!
sack him
sod the bbc ,used to be good but been crap fer yonks loads a repeats, stupid programme,foul-mouthed idiots, freebies for the bosses and we pay.make they pay for adverts as itv do that way they won`t want to waste so much time, effort, and money on rubbish.by the way, sack ross, the man is a moran and out off control.
My TV licence is due in the new year, not easy to afford and not value for money. Perehaps the BBC should introduce "Pay-to-view". See how much Ross is really worth.
Like Enid from Warrington I never watch Ross. I find him egotistical, smug and certainly not funny, witty or wise (though no doubt he would like to believe he is).
His programmes I never have on. What I do find annoying is when he "guests" on programmes I do enjoy or did.
