Nothing more than a publicity stunt, same as arguing on X-factor, it`s all designed to get peoples interest so the programmes can justify being on TV. Without publicity nobody would watch the crap.

Virgin Media can we put this story to bed....... John was a hopeless dancer and yes, it is a dancing competion but it is also an entertainment show it isn't the world ballroom championships! I liked JS but the judges were so insulting and rude no wonder he was voted in each week - Was he right to throw in the towel well, i guess being cold shouldered by other competitors didn't help it wasn't his fault. He went into SCD for the fun of it, the others to raise their profile and make them mainstream again - at the end of the day JS is a respected journalist who doesn;t have to prove himself . I loved SCD but the judges are so far up their own backsides appears they have become bigger than the show and THATS not what it is about perhaps, SCD needs to have differant judges each show or series!!!!

All this spin concerning Mr. J..Sergeant is no suprise. Just watch he will appear on endless political broadcasts. And because he gets your sympathy you will believe it!

I agree with Ron, he should have not been voted in so often, but he was wrong to go and let those people down. He also let his partner down as well. As for the voting figures, well there are those amongst us who believe that they are fixed as well. I don't trust any of these phone-in contests and all that dragging it out to tell us who is saved and who is in the dance off! I would like to see the public vote published on the show every week and the precise position of everyone. Another thing is the marking system needs updating. I haven't seen anyone worth a ten yet. Maybe we need half marks to fine tune it a bit. Brendan was right when he said 'nobody is perfect'.

Doesn't matter how nice a person John may be. It is supposed to be a dancing competition and public and judges alike should be encouraging those couples who show most improvement over the weeks. The sympathy vote of some members of the public made a mockery of the other couples who were obviously so much better than John and yet were voted off.
