Should Des Browne resign over the sailors' stories row?

Defence Secretary Des Browne has taken the blame after two of the sailors captured by Iran sold their stories saying "ultimately, the buck stops here".

Conservative leader David Cameron has demanded an inquiry and Mr Browne himself has said, "clearly with hindsight I could have made a different decision".

Should Des Browne resign over the decision to allow the sailors to sell their stories? Do you agree with the angry backlash that has greeted the publication and broadcast of the accounts? Do the sailors have every right to profit from their captivity or does it set a dangerous precedent? Let us know what you think.

If he doesn't resign then the buck doesn't stop there, does it.
Also whatever happened to the naval motto "Ready-Aye-Ready"?
The captain of the naval ship from
where the captured crew came from, should be demoted and made to clean the "Heads" for a year on the same ship.
If you can't protect your own crew, how can you protect your own ship?
Suppose the Iranian boats had intended to attack the naval vessel, what then?
Lets face it the Royal Navy is not fit for purpose and indeed has no purpose other than pretend it has power.
    Any determined attacker can destroy
    any vessel if they wished.
The Falklands was a fiasco and our naval history is littered with them.
Spend the money on better things for the taxpayers of this lousy country of ours that this government has created.

I'm a Labour supporter, but I feel that serving military staff should not sell their stories especially when we are involved in a conflict.

I would not trust this labour government to tell the truth about anything at all. They seem oblivious
to what is happening to this country
and the opinions of the people are totally ignored.Tony Blair,in my opinion, will be remembered as the worst p.m.we have ever had.
