Boris Johnson to run for London mayor

After weeks of speculation, Boris Johnson has confirmed that he is to enter the race to become the Conservative candidate for London mayor in next year's election.

What do you think of the decision? Is Boris Johnson capable of beating current London mayor Ken Livingstone? Will his public profile and tendency for foot-in-mouth moments make him a liability? Is this a desperate attempt by the Conservatives to field a charismatic candidate? Do you even care? Let us know what you think.

I don't think Boris is capable of beating Red Ken. If he did beat him are people so sure there will be any great changes.
