Are there too many award shows in music?

The BRITs, the Mercury Music Prize, the MOBOs, the Vodafone Live Awards, the Q Awards, the NME awards - the list of award shows in music is seemingly endless. Are there too many awards around now? Is winning an award devalued by there being so many? Should the general public get to choose the winners more? Have your say right here...

There are too many music awards, unfortunately i can't say the same for a really good music. Surely many artists who would deserve to win a prize never will be at THIS KIND of mtv: the worst i ever seen!

All it is is BS awards to promote BS magazines like NME. If it ain;t that it's the fricking TV quick awards or some garbage that all the Eastenders lot trip over themselves to attend. All the overrated media luvvies promoted by these idiotic mags will win and 5 years later end up forgotten, like Fat Adele, Kate Trash and the rest of them
