   - there's no better ode to low self-esteem and lonliness
   'I Just Want You To Love Me' by Darren Hayes
   - the most haunting plea I've ever heard for love since Queen's 'Somebody To Love'
   'Cheers Darlin'' by Damien Rice
   - not exactly known for his cheery lyrics but this one is particularly miserable and wallowing in self-pity about losing his love to someone else
   'It Doesn't Matter' by Alison Krauss & Union Station
   'Full Of Grace' by Sarah McLachlan
   - from the Queen of angsty pop ballads it was used in the season 2 finale of Buffy after she thinks she's lost everything it was a pretty perfect song choice for the hopelessness and despair.
