From smash to trash

Which once great bands or artists do you think lost their edge and now belong in pop purgatory? Do you agree with our Smash or trash choices?

Mark from portsmouth, U2 Still make amazing albums, are fantastic live in the ARENAS they SELL OUT and as for Bono, he has said many times he uses his "celebrity" to raise awareness for many issues. Check out the DATA website which Bono helped to set up, enabling millions of Africans to receive anti retroviral drugs for AIDS, and the provision of mosquito nets to reduce malaria. As for third world debt, THE onE CAMPAIGN, another organisation Bono is involved with has already helped to cancel millions of debt owed by some countries. Not every one is happy to ignore the every day tragedy that is life for many of the worlds poorest people.

I have to agree with johno,

Bon Jovi are turning out radio friendly rubbish now which saddens me after follwing then for 20 years. I haven't brought the latest album, haven't bothered with the tours for three or more years and I won't until they go back to doing what they do best.
It's not like they need the money so screw what the record company says, MAKE AN ALBUM THE FANS WANT TO HEAR!
