Madonna's turn as Eva Peron in Evita was a solid effort. Now for the bad news – it's a rare gem in a catalogue of bad performances. As a fencing instructor in Bond flick Die Another Day she was wretched, while her appearance in hubbie Guy Ritchie's horrific Swept Away was so awful she vowed never to act again. Phew.
Quite liked some of her stuff in the 80s, but that was before she'd blossomed into the arrogant, self-obsessed diva we know and loathe today
The woman is fifty years old and can hold her own with the likes of Justin Timberlake. You have to give her some credit. I am only 40 and my backside looks nothing like hers (much baggier). Ask yourself why people slate her- I think its envy. Shes always been there and has always been consistantly different.
As a teenager in the 80's I thought she was great, but now, her aggressive hard nosed hard faced personality really shines through. Yes she has a well honed body but it would be nice if occasionally she would wear something other than grannies underwear!
I'm not a fan, but then I'm not a fan of ageism either. We need artists like Madonna to keep pushing the barriers of what is "acceptable" so that old fart musicians like myself feel justified in carrying on!
Madge is quality, but lay off the swearing for effect its makes me cringe
you just sound like a plonker!
