Top ten greatest guitarists of all time

Legendary Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr (now playing with US group Modest Mouse) is the reason gruff Northern lads in casual wear feel comfortable singing along to Morrissey's lyrics about accepting lifts from strange men. From the ecstatic jangle of This Charming Man to the eerie throb of How Soon Is Now he has an instinctive, inimitable riff for every disaster.

Firstly, Slash is way too far down and secondly, Billie-Joe Armstrong from Green Day should be in the list, if you are going to include Matt from Muse. He is an amazing guitarist

Bruce Dickinson (not of Iron Maiden) of late eighties early nighties, Little Angels. This guy could make a guitar sing a song that would make you cry and rock you out within a strum and a flicker of his right hand.- Genius where is he now?
Also Dave Navaro of janes Addiction the master of the funcky rift.
