It didn’t even begin until 1963

Between 1960 and 1963 the charts were dominated by middle of the road crooning purveyed by jumper-wearing men like Pat Boone, Perry Como and Bobby Vinton and light jazz for cocktail parties. Elvis had sold his soul to Hollywood and the most dangerous artist of the era was Cliff Richard. The Beatles changed everything, of course, but at least one-third of the decade’s music is utter pish.

The sixties was a time of social revolution, with music as inspirational.
The boy bands of today were only a copy of the barbers shop quartet.
Rock and roll came from the afro american south that developed into the 60s and 70s music revolution.Music today is an atempt to copy that era. They just cant get it right.

The assertion that Sixties music began in 1963, shows an appaling lack of historical knowledge and even worse, to claim that Elvis was the only "star" of rock and roll is just plain ridiculous!
The Sixties began in 1957-58 and ended in with "The Last Waltz"!

They only put up forums like this to wind us all up, they profess to know about music lmao but they no nothing at all. The 60's & 70's music leaves todays (so called) music whey behind. In my day R&B used to mean Rythem & Blues, now it means complete trash with most of it not even having a tune to it. Whats all this Rapping Rubbish? To me its just talking fast to a drum beat, yet they call it tallent. have you noticed that there's a lot more 60 & 70's and even 80's stuff being played on the radio these days because todays stuff is such rubbish. Every so often though, there does seem to be a good modern song released, shame its not more often. have you ever tried singing along to most of todays songs while you are going about your everyday life lol IMPOSSIBLE lmao this forum is a joke to provoke a reaction, and more fool me, I fell for it.
