Let's face it, it doesn't matter how cool we think our music taste is - from time to time we all secretly enjoy music that we feel a bit embarrassed to admit. From Eighties cheese-pop nostalgia to slushy boyband ballads, everyone has their musical Achilles heel.
What are your favourite guilty pleasures?
No such thing as a guilty pleasure for me, I'm more than happy to admit to more than a few albums in my collection that to the untrained eye don't seem to fit... but with around 4000 albums I've got to have a bit of variety! You'll find a large number of classic rock from 60's to present day, from AC/DC to ZZ Top, Cream to The Answer, plus a bit of electronica... Kraftwerk, Numan etc. Chuck in some easy listening from the likes of Sinatra, Bennett, Tijuana Brass and Burt Bacharach, stir in a bit of country from Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Willie Nelson, and you get the picture... oh yeah not forgetting a bit of classic hip-hop/rap from Cypress Hill.. some clsasical and Spanish guitar stuff, a bit of New Age type instrumental bits from Medwyn Goodall etc. Too many folk are simply far too narrow minded about their music... try broadening your horizons a bit... go to local gigs check out some new bands.. get a bit of hunger about finding music you've never heard before.
