What do you think of this year's Pyramid Stage line-up at Glastonbury? Has Michael Eavis succeeded in booking acts which will appeal to young people, or is the festival past its prime?
Why don't a few more people start going to smaller indy festivals. There are a lot around this year.
Check out e.festivals on web.
Many are green, most encourage young and new bands.
They also havent got 60 or 70 thousand people fighting to get to the bar or the loos.
PMSL at Gilbert O'Sullivan and Shaking Stevens! Is there an age limit on ticket sales, do you get discount with your pension book?
Who the hell would pay glastonbury prices to watch that sort of dated rubbish
i think michael eavis is maybe sick up of all the upper class hoorays complaining and grabbing the attention by rolling in the mud in the middle of the crowd area, making it into a mudbath, and generally being a nuisance to music fans and real festival goers. perhaps it will put those d1cks off from goin!
i think it is healthy to throw in a wildcard or 2! bit of crossover, stop the pretentious upper middle class pseudo indie snobs from ruling it totally and making it stale, cliquey and insestuous! imho!
:-)
actually wanted to go and our mates too, registered but then as the line up started to be announced and leaked out,we thought whats the point in wasting money to see those acts, wished we'd known sooner and we could have made the decision to go to another festival, but to late.glasto is meant to be the best, but really you get more for your money elsewhere and the you know the line up before you part with your cash.
