With an all-star cast and Lost co-creator JJ Abrams directing, will Star Trek XI satisfy the show's highly critical fans, or will the Trekky boots prove too big to fill?
If this is as good as it looks and maybe even better then perhaps Lucas and co should roll over and allow Abrahams to make Star Wars 7,8 and 9
I think the film will be great, i would have preferred a film of the enterprise series if we are doing pre-quels as ithink this was the best series. i cetainly hope the cycle off odd numbered trek films being crap is broken, and beats nemess/khan as my fave to date
Who gives a crap, its another installment in a series thats so iconic its not to be ignored.I've got all series collections on DVD from every franchise and have the movies too, even the 5 movie boxset on original widescreen ratio VHS Vid.To say i'm a Star Trek fan is an understatement and most true fans will take anything they can get.How the hell that muppet below can say that Nemesis was a crap film is beyond me but theres no accounting for taste.
I would've prefered a different direction though, maybe carried on the Generations slant in the guise of Wesley Crusher somehow coming back to the fold further into the future say a decade and be the captain of an all new Enterprise but i'm a nostalgic softy. We'll see, proof will be in the watching if I can get away from the image of Simon Pegg as Shawn of the Dead,it should be a good un....
Dear Virgin researcher.
Jeffrey Hunter died from the complications of a stroke in 1969.........so how can he be in this movie!!
Could it be Tab Hunter??
In spite of this, I think the movie will rock.
