A recent survey suggests that 20% of teenagers have driven while under the influence of alcohol, and one in 14 admits to having driven while on drugs. A third of those asked said they had been a passenger when the driver was under the influence of either drink or drugs.
Are teens are putting their life on the line? Should they be trusted on the road?
No one should drink and drive
The majority of teenagers are more sensible about drink driving than we were in the late fifties and early sixties , of course there was no breathalysers or M.O.T. tests in those days , so safety was not an issue , We could also ride a 1000cc Vincent aged 16 without a crash-helmet .
It is not just teenagers who drink drive,i read alot about people who are in their 30's,40's and 50's + who are convicted of drink driving offences and cause deaths on our roads.
