Hundreds more speed cameras should be erected on street corners across the UK to enforce new 20mph speed limits, according to an influential government advisory group. Would this be a welcome move in residential areas, or would you oppose it?
sorry gaz dont agree with you most cameras placed for profit not safety.... we got a school or two on the ring road no cameras there but on a steeply sloping hill yes... .nuff said
Speed cameras are a in place for a good reason,to catch those law breakers who are speeding, its a safety issue, not as some people think a way of ripping motorists off,
think cameras should be focused on mps to see what they get up to.
Who would like to see less speed cameras on the roads? the same type of people who would like to see less police on the streets, that is people who want to break the law. Speed cameras on every street corner will only catch people who are committing a crime and thatis is what everyone fails to grasp when this arguement comes up. They all try to find excuses for not having the speed cameras saying things like "this is just another tax" how can it be a tax unless you are caught speeding. If you want the adrenalin rush of the tune then you have to pay the piper. Otherwise you are saying that burglars who get caught and end up being fined are paying a tax for their crime how ridiculous does that sound???????
mally there is'nt a camera with shutter speed fast enough tocatch the taxes rises
