Hundreds more speed cameras should be erected on street corners across the UK to enforce new 20mph speed limits, according to an influential government advisory group. Would this be a welcome move in residential areas, or would you oppose it?

Great post, the only real hidden reason why some people want a 20MPH other than at HOT SPOTS (schools etc) is so that traffic builds up and they can then charge you for congestion...
Can anyone tell me, do the mobile speedtrap vans measure the speed of oncoming (front of) vehicles or on going( back of) vehicles? If its both which is more usual?
Speed cameras that tells you the speed you are traveling at is much better and safer than the tax grabbing cameras that go to line the government, police and councils coffers.
to the idiot who thinks all camera profits go to the government, there are national cameras-government parish-parish councils and in the majority council run with some of fine going to government.........
I want to move to Swindon

Should there be speed cameras on every street corner?
