Speed cameras on every street corner?

Speed cameras on every street corner?

Hundreds more speed cameras should be erected on street corners across the UK to enforce new 20mph speed limits, according to an influential government advisory group. Would this be a welcome move in residential areas, or would you oppose it?

Speed limits should be sensible to start with. I for 1 would rather be looking out of my windows at 35 than keep looking down at my speedo. You cannot see a child running into the road if your worried about your speed all of the time and starring at the speedo. Maybe there should be some sort of aurdible warning in the car of your speed.

Since speed cameras started to appear, the number of trafic police has reduced. They have been moved to other duties as brain dead MP's think speed cameras have replaced a large section of their duties, as a result of this there has been an alarming rise in the number of dangerous drivers who think it's ok to change lanes without looking or indicating, use a hand held phone while driving, tailgate, clods (centre lane only drivers), drive to slow, park on zig-zags, jump lights etc etc. Trafic police have always re-educated bad or dangerous drivers in the past but now there are so few on the road, there seems to be a free for all for idiot drivers. Get rid of £peed cameras and get more trafic cops back on the roads.
