There was a time when cab drivers actually knew their way around without that annoying little voice telling them which turnings to take. But love them or loath them, satellite navigation systems are here to stay. What do you think of them?
i thnk as long as you input the correct details you are fine bust as soon as you input is wrong your in for trouble. uncle uses 1 for hill walking & things & have used it for holidays. so sat nav is not jsut a car ued item
great takes the stress out of driving i use it every day and have no problem from london to torbay would not travel without my tomtom
I have used a sat nav all over Europe in our motorhome and would not be withuot it, it takes a bit more than common sense to drive through Madrid on a weekday morning and be in the correct lane at all times, great piece of kit, used properly
BEEN USING A TOM TOM SAT NAV IN MY COACH FOR PAST 2YRS PEOPLE MOAN THAY THEY TAKE YOU THE wrong WAY DOWN onE WAY STREETS OR DEAD END ROADS THE ANSWER IS CHECK BEFORE YOU MANEOUVER ETC THEY ARE NOT GOD (THEY ARE MAN MADE) AND DO NOT ALWAYS GET IT RIGHT SO IT HAS TO BE A LITTLE BIT OF SAT NAV AND A LITTLE BIT OF YOU AND IT WILL ALWAYS GET YOU THERE
Why does using your sat nav make you an idiot? It is a fantastic piece of kit, especially these days when road signs and systems are so overly complicated. They're also useful in telling you where speed cameras are hidden, sorry I mean placed. The emergency services use them and swear by them so why shouldn't we??
