Recent revelations that an unusually high percentage of all car accidents are involving those under 20 years old have reawakened calls to raise the driving test age from 17 to 18 and even higher. Is 17 old enough to be able to drive safely on the roads? Or would a change in the law help reduce the number of road accidents? Tell us what you think.
What about those old people who can't even see the road, you can't blame old people, some people in there 20's are incompetent and immature. Specially those drunks.
Putting the age limit up to 18 isn't going to stop the amount of crashes caused by young driver. Those who usually cause these crashed are people who can't drive properly and sometimes don't even have a lisence. You shouldn't punish those sensible drivers who nees to learn to drive.
just get all the old duddering gits off the road at seventy permanent and between sixty and seventy make them take a compitency test on a yearly basis 20% accidents are caused by under 20s 58%buy over 70s and thats a provable fact but nobody seems to want to publish that in case they upset the old gits in parliment who all seem to be in the seventys bracket dont they
Yes, the age of driving should be raised to 65, that will cut road accidents at a stroke (unless you have a stroke of course)..
to gerald it was my consultant that told me about the special rules and he filed in some forms but as far as i remember you have to aply to the dwp for motability n if you get awarded it then you are intitaled to learn the year early and anyone can teach you i hope that helps regard matthew
