With news today that 71% of British employees travel to work by car, and that those in the north-west of England have the most dangerous journeys to work by road, we want to know about your commuting experiences. How long does it take you to get to work? What’s the worst experience you’ve had? Share your commuting nightmares.
Why do they refer to it as public transport? It is private companies operating with money from the taxes paid by everyone, and usually at a great profit with little reinvestment and increasing profits each year. If you stop the competition and force everyone to use "public transport" watch the fares go up astronomically as the consumers choice of transport is taken away
public trains and buses are filthy and never on time.
public the fares are a rip-off.
do a ph test on random vehicles and you will see what I mean.
glad I boycotted public transport years ago.
there are no buses at the time i finish work ( i work nights as my fiancee works days)so i used to walk to and from work it used to take me 30 mins each way. that was until i was followed part way home by 3 blokes shouting things i dont wish to repeat at me until i stopped and knocked on the first door i come across who luckily allowed me to use their phone to ring my fiance. he had to wake up our children to pick me up 10 mins down the road. i havent walked it since as my fiance forbids me to walk it alone so now picks me up every night. im hoping to pass my driving test soon so fingers crossed
my flat is around 20 minutes drive to my work, it is very conveinent. however, it's very busy where i stay so there is a lot of traffic which i need to watch out for!
It takes me about one and a half hours to drive from home to work everyday and about an hour to get back again.....
