With news today that 71% of British employees travel to work by car, and that those in the north-west of England have the most dangerous journeys to work by road, we want to know about your commuting experiences. How long does it take you to get to work? What’s the worst experience you’ve had? Share your commuting nightmares.
Depends whether the river is low enough to drive through. Up to 3 feet is fine - 4 feet deep becomes interesting, 5 feet and above requires a change of clothes when I get to the office as the Land Rover leaks a bit. (either that or a 20 minute detour)
A66 commute into Darlington can take for ever while the never ending, badly signposted roadworks get carried out. Eventually we will be able to get into the town centre bottlenecks much quicker! Do they use planners for roads improvements?
It's disgusting. I can't park my Range Rover at the school crossing due to some PC rubbish about lollipop ladies getting run over. No wonder my wheelie bin doesn't smell very nice.
Roadworks at the end of my road
Roadworks getting on the M27.
Roadworks going past Havant.
Roadworks East of Chichester.
It can be done in less than an hour, it has taken me over 2! If you can get me to Steyning by public transport, I'd take it!
As I work shifts in different locations it is impossible for me to use public transport. The solution? A gas-guzzling automatic with a decent stereo. With these I can sit in traffic for as long as it takes.
