The recent Sexy Green Car Show at the Eden Project in Cornwall would seem to show that, far from being the fusty eco-boxes of popular mythology, green-friendly cars can be slinky road maestros too. But how true is that? Would the newer designs persuade you to swap to an eco-friendly, bio-ethanol-powered car? Or is green just plain unstylish? Tell us what you think.
Nope... sexy cars are for rich bastards in Lexus's and Porsches... and normal folk in mondeos and astras( not sexy) oh and Mrs W... shut up! If your a teacher then shut up! and also.... have you ever looked at the new Mazda Furai... oh so sexy!
Dissappointed from Ashford, Kent
Arr Dissappointed, or is ir GRRRR, Just got rid of my Low Emis Mondeo (53Plate) and got a T reg (volcano) example, still 2L, will still do what I want in it, but still on the old tax rate... Two fingers to the thick government dick heads and the enviroment.
i agree with nigel hybrids are no answer disposing of the large batteries they use after there useful life is an ecological nightmare.
I made the green choice over two years ago and purchased a factory converted LPG Mitsubushi - virtually zero emmissions, a 4x4 that produces less emmissions than a Clio, BUT and its a pain in then BUTT, the government insist on charging the full road tax minus £15 - woopee! so its going to cost something like £295 / yr to tax. ie no advantage for going green, no help from the government, they are a bunch of deceitful liars jumping on the green band wagon. Moral of story be very careful what you buy, they will probably work out a new tax even on the greener cars before to long!!!! grr!
Never could understand how anyone can find any car SEXY, come on it's only a bit of metal after all............
