Went to London last Friday 28/08/08 and 6 days later get a penalty notice through the door trying to charge me 60 quid for driving in a "congestion zone" !!! Well i'm sorry but its the first time i have drove to London in my 8 years as a motorist and did'nt have a clue where i was going other than following my sat nav sysytem that never told me don't go down this road else you'll be charged £60. It just further angers my hatred towards the capital city and this country in general only 1 day prior to my visit i taxed my car for 6months that cost 93 quid then filled up the tank for the journey that cost a further 40 then paid 30p more for a "happy meal" at McDonalds than you would in any other uk city !!! What a rip off this country is, will the people in charge of our shamed nation be happy when good, honest, law abiding citizens flee for pastures new and all thats left here are immigrants !!!!!!!!!!

the congestion charge solves no problems its only function is to bleed the motorist. traffic is pushed into huge traffic jams while the congestion zone is almost empty? nuff said,

With bus stop build outs, chicanes, road humps, two lane roads changed to one lane, 20mph zones, side roads closed off, cycle lanes in wrong places, traffic lights that are set out of synchro.
NO WonDER every where is congested, sort that little lot out and we would not be half as congested.
Too all the greens and do gooders out there, it's nothing to do with 'Green' more like greed, just typical Labour who think we are all as thick as they are but it is a money generating exercise.
