   30mph is too fast when kids are around. If the limit is at 30 most will be doing 35-40, drive by my house at that speed and i wont wait for the government to do something about it. 20mph is the limit for residential areas here and we still get selfish idiot drivers doing 40, i make it my business to confront these people. The world does not revolve around cars, kids play and forget about health and safety. Adults need to act responsibly.

   Why should we as motorists have to put up with a speed limit of 20mph this idea is plain stupid.We pay for using the roads which is at an all time high, and should be able to travel at the existing limits or even slightly higher limits.
   In other countries their speed limits are a lot higher than ours and the injury
   statistics are a lot lower.
   The trouble is in this country that parents fail to teach their children the correct way to cross a road, for which I beleive the should be prosecuted and fined for child neglect and endangerment.
   Anyone who is injured on our highways should be prosecuted as in the U.S.A. for jaywalking
   Too many children nowadays are playing chicken on the roads, and they dont take into account that it is not only they who are likely to be injured but some other innocent person or persons.
   STOP THIS NANNY STATE NOW AND LET ORDINARY PEOPLE TAKE RESPonSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN ACTIonS.
