Is 20mph too slow?

Is 20mph too slow?

Portsmouth City Council is slashing the speed limit in residential areas from 30mph to 20mph and other councils are expected to follow suit. Will this save lives or is bureaucracy just killing motoring?

Paul from Berks, I am a pushbike rider how can you say they go faster than 20mph? I'm lucky to get 12mph unless going downhill which is probably what your on about.
20mph must be made law, ever heard of the hare and tortoise? well the tortoise won cause it went slow and steady.

It's a joke speed limits were introduced when cars were like go carts wooden brakes, poor steering and handling. now a car will stop in probably a third the distance when the 30mph speed limit was introduced so why lower the speed limit? it's obvious the lower the speed limit the more drivers you can catch speeding, meaning more revenue.
