Motorists: your reaction to Brown's final Budget?

With some car taxes set to double within a year, do you think the Chancellor's 2007 Budget is fair to car drivers?

So they want to increase the vehicle excise duty (VED) not only onlarge cars but also on medium sized family cars.I have a 2 litre car to tow avery modest caravan,my wife has asuper mini which is not cheap for VED but which we use for ease of parking, reduced fuel costs and reduced insurance for low mileage on the larger car. However this
does not help me as I am now going to be charged a punative rate of VED just for owning abigger car.The politics of greed &envy.

What do you think of Gordon Browns latest budget? The question says it all ! Alastair Darling was told exactly what to put in the budget. In fact, he most probably had it written for him by Brown... There's no way anyone would vote in Gordon Brown as the Prime Minister because he's nothing but a over-bearing child who sulks when he can't get his own way . You only have to look at his cabinet to see that he has chosen the Labour parties "yes men " to help him walk all over us workers. The sooner he goes the better!

My wife runs a small 3 year old 1.1 litre car the road tax is £120 pounds per year. The latest model of the same car but with a 1 litre engine costs £35 per annum.Somebody somewhere is stitching me and thousands of others up.
I don't know the formula for such a gross increase, when the formulae for cost of living, pensions, etc manage to show a massive decrease.
GOT IT! cars and MP's remuneration use one formula, where money has to be paid out the "Stuff You Lot" formula is used.I'm disgusted at the sheer cheek of the £85 difference in two such similar cars.

I never elected Gordon Brown to run this country nor would I have elected him ever....... he's a control freak of the worse kind....... He doesn't listen to the people of this country he's too busy making sure every other damned country is happy..... When can we have someone who gets elected to work for the workers after all, we the workers pay their extortionate wages...... Sack them for their incompitence
