The Pre-Budget Report is expected to see Value Added Tax cut from 17.5% to 15% as part of a £15 to £20 billion "fiscal stimulus" to encourage spending and spur economic growth. The Chancellor is also said to be unveiling the plan for a 45% top rate on people earning at least £150,000 a year. Will a 2.5% VAT cut make any difference to how much you spend this Xmas?
Could someone properly qualified advise Pensioner from England, because ir cannot be correct that this lady does not qualify for anything more than £39 per week. In the course of many years of voluntary work and fund raising, I have encountered a number of people who simply would not claim, and went on about means testing and intrusion, and why I did not strangle some of them I do not know! There must be a way.
Has anybody stopped to think of anybody but themselves?? The whole spirit of Christmas is fogotten. Everybody is out to spend as much as they can. Just take a step back and think of the real meaning of Christmas.
Whats with all the bitching on here!!!!!
It's a simple question with a simple answer......
You live to your means that's it and the VAT cut will make no differance to 90% of the work force in ENGLAND.
Unlike the fatcats who will gain from it........
Come on! Are you all going to lie down and take the lies and crap this Goverment spouts out to you? A Goverment full of ex barristers and soliciters who have recked the morality and confidence of our great country who tell the great lie that they love this country yet dismantle the very infrastructure that made us the morale compass of the world - how i hate and despise these weak "leaders".
Been laid off 6 weeks already no spare cash must save what we have as the future does not look to good, never mind merry xmas all.
