The Pre-Budget Report is expected to see Value Added Tax cut from 17.5% to 15% as part of a £15 to £20 billion "fiscal stimulus" to encourage spending and spur economic growth. The Chancellor is also said to be unveiling the plan for a 45% top rate on people earning at least £150,000 a year. Will a 2.5% VAT cut make any difference to how much you spend this Xmas?
spending big on gas and electric . as for christmas its cancelled here. thanks money grabbing fuel companys. vat cut is no good if you dont have any money to spend.
no chance of spending much due to my business going bust
No, I have no money left to spend on Xmas presents regardless of any VAT cut, as this Government takes most of my money anyway in high taxes and everything else!
Remember, they are the party of 'Tax and spend' and always will be.
Roll on a change of government then just maybe, next Christmas I'll have some money to spend on presents..
This Christmas? not a chance!
Bah Humbug NO!
it shows shops charge far to much if they can bring items down to half price. shows the profit they make.christmas has the wrong meaning and goes on far to long
