The Pre-Budget Report is expected to see Value Added Tax cut from 17.5% to 15% as part of a £15 to £20 billion "fiscal stimulus" to encourage spending and spur economic growth. The Chancellor is also said to be unveiling the plan for a 45% top rate on people earning at least £150,000 a year. Will a 2.5% VAT cut make any difference to how much you spend this Xmas?
Here's one for virgin media if VAT has gone down by 1.5% how come my and others bills haven't come down? How can the bill be the same if VAT is included yet VAT has gone down? Theiving bastards!
We never spend loads at Christmas, so even if they reduced VAT to nil it would only make a very small difference to me.
Xmas is nonexsistent this year after i ahd a car accident earlier this month, the goverment make things that look good on paper but in practical form absolute rubbish. They need to cut vat on fuel to help the small buisness' and general public.most of the cost on anything is mirrored by transport costs.Cutting vat will make 0% difference to me because i have no money!I work 12hour shifts and everyweek im skint.i dont go out, i dont live lavishley, my rent alone is 470p.c.m, one step forwards, two steps back is todays way of living!
Savings already exhausted. With most companies expecting the people of this country to work up to and on Christmas day, lack of money it feels like Christmas for a few minutes so I guess it's just a hoped for spending spree for the government certainly isn't in this household. Gone are the days when you had a Christmas holiday :(
no our kids are having a fair and old fashiondy xmas this year because we also going abroad for 2 weeks next year as well but they understand you cant do it all
