Inflation is now dropping at its fastest rate for 16 years thanks to falling fuel prices. But despite this the cost of a typical shopping basket leapt to 21.3 per cent in November – adding more than £1,100 a year to family grocery bills. Are the supermarkets ripping us off by not passing on price reductions?
Same with mortgage companies, they dont put interest rates down when the bank of england does,it is just a rip off,Greed Greed And more Greed,...search for the billion dollar profit..
Has the government done anything to ease the pressure for the poorer working class, who are struggling with pre-payment meters? No they haven't, so there's your answer.
The biggest rip off has got to be the the gas and power companies, they were quick to put up there prices because of the cost of oil, and you can bet your boots that they will keep them high until the winter period is over, then they will announce massive profits and drop prices for the summer before finding an excuse to put them up again for the winter.
marry has it in one found ww2 cook book and buy using it eating better an saving a lot can get more fruit to day than when book was issued something like this must oe on line (hm gow re print with update?)
Of course we're getting ripped off & while we are the government are set to rip off prostitutes & lap dancing clubs. Well, there's money in it, so why not tax that to death as well.
Tell me something Mr Brown nose, if the price of oil & gass goes up & we get stung straight away, why does it take months for the price to come down? More to the point if the price of oil was $70 a barrel last year & it took £45 to fill my tank, why with the price at $50 a barrel does it now cost £65 to fill my tank? Are we all just stupid or is there something else going on?
