The minimum wage for over 22s in the UK is £5.35 an hour. Do you think this is reasonable? What do you think is a good wage to earn and how hard would you be prepared to work for it? Should 18-21 year olds receive the same minimum wage as over 22s? Why, in the 21st century, do some women still earn less than men for doing the same job?
hassan you do right. these people have no qualifications or skills and expect more? you get monkeys you pay peanuts. simple
Could you please let me know where Pete from Bristol went to school, so that I don't make the mistake of sending my kids there - his english is terrible.
p.s ?i pay £5.52 instead of £5.35 as this allows me to keep my empolyee,s on this rate throu-out there 12 hr shift. no time and half at all,
i am not happy to pay my staff £5.52 per hour for working 12 hrs a day running many of my grocery shops, i would like to pay a lot less but the government brought in min wage which is wrong in my view. £3 per hr is a fair wage for staff
wanting more than what you need can only be described as greed . horrorcle, 12.09.2008
