The minimum wage for over 22s in the UK is £5.35 an hour. Do you think this is reasonable? What do you think is a good wage to earn and how hard would you be prepared to work for it? Should 18-21 year olds receive the same minimum wage as over 22s? Why, in the 21st century, do some women still earn less than men for doing the same job?
Jeffrey from sutton. What a horrible person you are. I'm a cleaner and work bloody hard for my money. I've just pulled a muscle and have to avoid work for a few days because of the pain. As i'm self employed i won't get paid. As a widow i have no second income and the government doesn't want to know. Cleaning is a skilled job. When i see how filthy other people live and when i leave there homes clean and neat i feel so proud. Not everyone is the same. We don't all possess the skills needed or have the ability to learn the skills to work at a 'better' job. What a meanie thinking a cleaner is only worth £5 an hour.
i am a highly skilled engineer and would,nt work for less than £1500.00 a week ,why should i ,it was my studies and exams which gave me the oportunitys i have today,why should some lazy ignorant sod get more than me,let them work harder or get qualified,bloody cheek,,i would,nt dream of paying anymore than £5.00 per hour to our cleaner,as it is she is getting too much,she only go to the pub and the bingo with it

if you employ foreigners you can get away with paying them £3 an hour. That s still a good wage because if they do a 12 hour day they get £36 and if they work 7 days a week that makes £252 a week not bad tax free....
I did a job when the Tories were in power as Security for a large company and they paid £2. 50 an hour for 12 hour shifts no days off.

always said should be £300 a week for everybody working regardless
of job This will see the end of people getting £250.000 a year I said getting because they do not earn it, The so called smart brigade that
should have predicted this financial catastrophe we are in.
