Credit and debit card fraud has risen by 25% in the last year. Banks say losses amount to £535m. Have you been a victim? Do the government and banks do enough to combat the problem?
whats wrong with using worked long before cards
My card details, were stolen from an internet transaction. Then nearly a 1000 quid was taken from my account in lots of 50 gbp debits. I would have spotted this earlier, but I can not view my transactions that are waiting to clear.
a different side to credit card fraud, supposedly legal. i helped a colleague in an emergency car breakdown, ended up needing to join to get repaired. they had no money so i paid by credit card. 1 year on, the breakdown company automatically renewed my colleagues account with my credit card. different name and no prior request.
Just recently and despite all the new security. I had a payment taken out from an online flight booking system that was based in America, who I 've never heard of. I've never been to America and wasn't looking to go this year. I have no idea how they got my details and it turns out they were booked to two guys I've never seen or heard of. That's despite having fire walls and anti virus protection systems. So be warned!
A member of my family has, by card cloning and in exactly the same way as Sister from here's sister has, at two Tesco filling stations! I agree with JPS from Bradford, this whole country HAS gone ass up since the introduction of all these foreigners who are brought up with their fingers in someone else's pockets. Its about time the doors were closed and lock them all out and filter the crooks out of those that are here and get rid of them asap.
