Credit and debit card fraud has risen by 25% in the last year. Banks say losses amount to £535m. Have you been a victim? Do the government and banks do enough to combat the problem?
What happened to goods only to card holders address. Why not choice of cards which limit area of use,i.e by postcode,by country,by net and foreign tranaction cards. Most seldom travel 30 miles from home address an additional code would take you out the area.
Had a fone call from CC company about the new carpets I had bought. OK I had just bought a carpet, but not 1 from a store 300 miles away. Surely to goodness the credit card company can prosecute the peeps who had used my card!. They know the address. Similaly my DDs card was used to purchase a lot of jewellery from Tiffanys, which was delivered to an address in London. For goodness sake, you know where you delivered, CC company prosecute. on the other hand I had a credit on my CC bill cos the people who used my card number actually had the nerve to take something back to Sainsburys and I had a CREDIT.
We all pay in the end...
What happened to the rest of my message? I am not a bumbling twit like the message implies, just this site/message board
Ordered an item on the net, my card by approx £550.00 for stuff like a dating company and sending chocolates to a place in New York State. Can not say what I ordered, or who from as it might not be proven, but gave all details to my bank and heard nothing. So if they did nothing crime does pay.Trouble is could give you a bad credit rating.
