Are we heading for a housing crash?

House prices have fallen at the fastest rate in 12 years. Is the great housing boom finally over? And are you worried?

If margret thatcher never sold off the council houses property would be cheaper, why pay £250000 for a ex council house when you could rent one for £50 pw. homes will continue to stay much as they are because you have to live somewere. or become homeless and the state pays your rent, this fuels rental prices so the circle goes on? im thinling of emergraiting???

Are we heading for a housing crash?
No we are not The government would like us to think so thats why they are spouting their propoganda.

Amazing really that the saddos are not blaming estate agents for the fall in house prices, since they were blamed for the rises. Lets get one thing clear, seven years of rises lead to a couple of years of price drops. Then it starts all over again and everyone says I wish i had bought a house in 2008. And if you can't afford to save a deposit you should not be trusted to pay a mortage. Harsh but simple. I had negativity equity in the early nineties slump, lived with it for seven long years and now in 2008 have no mortgage atall. But I carried on working in a job I was sick of, payed the bills and got on with my life instead of whinging and blaming everyone else for my problems. People today should put up or shut up. People expect it all these days. My gran lived in a rented house all her life and she was happy. Buy if you can, if not don't get so bitter at those who suffered for years to pay for one.

just to balance some of out leftie friends out there who think anyone who grafts is somehow not entitled to reward. my girlfriend bought a house to let at the peak piling in her life savings to try to provide a pension. works incredibly hard in a poorly paid caring job and never been a drain on society. now the mortgage is much more than the rental income, it's got negative equity and the tenants have done a runner (leftie social security claimants) after smashing it up. property developing IS a risky game with no guarantees but at least she got off her a*** and works unlike some of you lazy sods that moan about people making money. prices were too high and the market is settling down again. i'm now buying a house at just over half the asking price 9 months ago. seem to remember someone telling the mother of a u.s. president that he was lucky. she answered 'it's funny that the harder he works the luckier he gets'. i can do this now as i've worked bloody hard for 30 years, paid my taxes, kept my nose clean and have respect for myself and others that do the same. send back all the who are diluting our society, beliefs, standards. lock up those who break the law. reward those who work hard and f*** those who want a free ride. have a nice day y'all!
