UK employees work longer hours than the rest of Europe and get less bank holidays. Do we place too much importance in our careers in this country and all end up stressed as a result? Do you feel pressured to work too hard? Share your thoughts.
We ARE Europe's Job Stress Capital, because we pay for everything in Europe, their families children etc, what a ridiculous Government we have ! ! !
Amanda stop moaning it sounds an easy job and those hours aren't long! You don't know the meaning of hard work. And no-one's forcing you to do the job are they?
ray, me and you ought to start a political party just for us brits, i'll tell you what, id bring this country upto standards, my 1st priority would be to get all the foriegn sh.t out and id make sure that most of the taxes are spent on patroling our coastal lines all the way around.
not for me it isnt, im not working for pi.s poor incompetent goverment where it treats workers like sh.t
im not going to work for a goverment so that it can spen my tax on a war i didnt want or start
im not working for a goverment that would rather treat the rich and all the foriegn bas.ards better than the brits.

I work for a national company in a modern air cooled prison.
The building I work in is on a Business park on the outskirts of town. We start work after battling with traffic and trying to find a parking space at 8 oclock and that's where we stay all day until 5 when we leave.
No fresh air - the half an hour lunch break doesn't allow us the opportunity to eat and enjoy the great outdoors.
We sit infront of our computer screens and are only 'allowed' 5 minute comfort breaks. Then if we're found to have too many of them, we're questioned as to where we've been.
It's the most unhealthy way of life known to man and if we're off sick for more than 8 days a year, we're put on sickness report.
It's hell on earth for little pay. But with unemployment the way it is we have to like it or lump it.
