My ideal boss is someone who pays you the correct wage for the workload you do, someone who believes in the weekly wage, who is avid on health and safety and doesn't expect you to do more than your job description without offering you a payrise for the extra responsibilities!! They would also understand that when your family is ill they come first, especially children and that holidays can be expensive for someone on a much lower wage than them, so would understand when you need to take one abroad out of season and not dock your wage for it, and/or lecture you about how disappointed they are that you need that particular time off.
