Are you irked by an annoying colleague? Are they a David Brent-style chilled-out entertainer, an untrustworthy schemer or something even worse? Tell us all about your nightmare co-workers.
in a previous job i had a female colleague who always used to pretend she didnt hear people when they spoke to her, when everybody knew she heard just fine. you had to say everything twice while she just grinned at you.irritating cow.
i had a european workmate who took the piss out of me for weeks when i pronounced a word in his native tongue(i have never been to his country) incorrectly, when he works here and hardly speaks english at all, and cant even pronounce "Kings Cross" correctly.
For a number of years i worked in an office with 13 other women. Most of the time they where ok but sometimes they where a nightmare!!
We had the bully, 2 lazy, fat cows, 2 who where working with people so obviously below their social status, 1 anorexic, 1 alcoholic, the old dear who married a Bulgarian toy boy for love (ha! ha!), the rotweiler, the Ex policeman who was an arrogant arsehole and a swinger!
Boy was i glad when the department was closed & most of us (who didn't lick ass) where made redundant!!
Me & my mate used to kill ourselves laughing at their antics & it was World War 3 if anyone had a in the toilet- it would be the main discussion point all week!!
P.S. Our boss was lovely though xx
I was told by a pretentious colleague only yesterday that something I 'supposedly' say during most conversations really winds him up! - although I've asked friends and family if I say it and they've said no.
He is one of lifes little idiots - when he told me I wind him up I just laughed. People like him don't annoy me - after all, it must be such a boring life for him, as he's so perfect (or he obviously thinks he is.... little does he know what I've heard others saying about him behind his back)
I don't allow colleagues to annoy me. I suppose I do allow annoying colleagues to belittle me though, which maybe isn't so good. Perhaps I should start fighting back :o)
I totally agree with Jan's comments.
I was eventually forced to make a decision about my job, had a word with my boss and by mutual agreement left. All because I don't know how to play games people play, but there are some nasties out there, and if you do not fit, they will make your life hell. I am still trying to find another job after 6 months of loosing my previous one.
