Most annoying office jargon 2008

OK, so now we're all here, lets brainstorm and have an ideas shower. 2008 has been a great year for business jargon, but moving forward, we really need to do some blue-sky-thinking so we can implement a cradle-to-grave strategy and pick the low-hanging fruit. So, let's think outside the box, do some forward planning, and we can touch base about this again when we all have another window, Unless you'd prefer to take the conversation offline?

If you understood any of that, many congratulations. Quite where the abundance of office jargon that's in circulation today came from, we're not really sure. Probably America. Regardless, office or business jargon is one of the things that really gets under our skin when we're at work. So, here at Virgin Media, we're on a quest to find out what the most annoying office phrase of 2008 is. The idea being that once we know, we can all club together and stamp it out.

Tell us which phrase annoys you most below. Contextual examples much appreciated!

You can alos nominate your boss, co-worker or busines as a whole for the most overuse of a phrase. So come on, vent your annoyance below now...

I hate the word, driver ......How many times can you hear it in one meeting!!! "She is a very good member of staff, but she is not a driver"
Keep the driving for behind the wheel,

'engage'. I am sick of hearing about 'engaging people' we must become 'engaged' 'the key is to gather engagement'. during an SMT meeting yesterday, a colleague of mine used the word 20 times!!!! Maybe it is time to realise that if we struggle with 'engagement' we need to change the product or service.
