Schoolchildren could be expected to pledge allegiance to the Queen and respect for the law, under new recommendations aimed at strengthening Britons’ sense of citizenship. Lord Goldsmith’s recommendations also include a new public holiday to celebrate "Britishness" along the lines of Australia Day. What do you think?

i say yes ...maybe then the younger kids will grow up to respect people
people need discepline to respect and pledging an aallegiance to the Queen wont give them that
when she bows/curtsies to me then yes shes no better then anyone else shes only human after all.
All seems a little too neo-nazi if you ask me.
Pledge allegiance to your god who ever he may be, but not to people who have no idea or care how we live or die.
