Schoolchildren could be expected to pledge allegiance to the Queen and respect for the law, under new recommendations aimed at strengthening Britons’ sense of citizenship. Lord Goldsmith’s recommendations also include a new public holiday to celebrate "Britishness" along the lines of Australia Day. What do you think?

Is this the same Queen who has sat back and let her Government sell out her country after years and years of her countrymen fighting to protect it. Does she even know what the politicians are doing? I doubt she even has any rights to stop them...... sad really.... what sort of Monarchy is it that cannot even step in and take back control of her country if she knows her public are unhappy about what is happening. Well I guess a vast majority of us true British have fled Britain for safer territory outside the EU to avoid the inevitable civil war which is brewing.

Wales doesn't appear on the Queen's Coat of Arms or the uk flag or on the new uk coins.
I'd pledge allegiance to my country Wales and to the uk.
