Should parents be allowed to bring their babies to work?

Should parents be allowed to bring their babies to work?

A growing trend for bringing your babies to work with you is emerging in the US, where there is no such thing as statutory paid maternity leave. Do you think this could catch on in the UK? Would anyone actually get any work done? Share your thoughts.

mothers shouldn't bring babies to work. A baby should be your focus that you fit other things around and at work the baby would be sidelined for the job. People need to realise that when you have children you make a commitment to them and that they have to come first before everything. Being a parent means you have to make sacrifices and put your life on hold a bit for your children especially in the few years before they go to school. After all it's only five years out of your life. If a parent isn't willing to give up that much time for their child i would question whether they should be parents. I know people will be stating finances as a reason to work but do they really need the money? People nowadays seem to put the flat screen tele, fitted kitchen, big house, holidays and next clothes above time with their kid. I would think that all the luxuries in the world can't compare to being with your baby.

No, if a baby see's its mother stressed out at work - It affects the baby too. A mother should be at home with the baby bonding. I personally think woman need longer maternity leave - The first year or so is vitally important that a baby is with it's mother. This is when they learn about life and what's normal - Stressing at work, is not normal or healthy

No i dont agree with taking your kids into the work place they should have a good life at home with their mothers. How is having a stressed out mother going to help the child grow into a healthy child,i know us mothers have to work and i think the goverment should make it their priority to help out working mothers more than they do. If your on the dole u get this free and that free but if you work you have to pay for everything its sickining

What on earth? I would never take me baby to work! It's a baby or a job make the choice. A baby is more important and shouldn't you be at home bonding with the child. Why over load yourself with baby and job at the same time. Stress on mothers is not healthy
