Should celebrity mums be shamed?

Britney Spears has been voted the world's worst celebrity mum with Kerry Katona coming in at second and Jade Goody pipping Kate Moss to third spot. Is it right that celebrities are named and shamed as bad parents because they are setting bad examples, or is parenting a matter that should be kept private?

The real culprits are the brain-dead folk who buy all the rubbish magazines that follow the pointless lives of these'celebrities'. Go out and get a life of your own instead of sitting around reading about these losers.

Who says these celebrities are bad parents anyway? The media... and so they are judges too now, are they? Or does the media view of these 'fallen' celebrities taint the public's view?

I have met Jade Goody with her lovely children and the view I received was of a loving, Mum teaching her children to be polite; say please and thank you, etc.

    Don't believe all you read!!

But then, it does sell papers and magazines and there are plenty of fools to buy them.

Shame on them or shame on you?

What about the bad fathers? Or is it always the mother's fault?

They are quick enough to point the finger at celebrity, but why do so called 'celebrities' never seem to suffer the consequences we ordinary mortals would be made to pay? Why are they still touted as fit for public consumption? Why are tv companies etc still making money out of them? The trouble is, there is no shame any more, no accepting responsibility and money buys far more than it should be allowed.

As for rating a bottom ten of bad celebrity mothers, apart from the fact that that is juvenile, pointless and achieves nothing, who the hell has the right to put them on a scale of 1-10? They may be selfish, stupid overly rich people in at least some cases, but they are still human you know.

I won't even go in to what kind of message this sends our youngsters. No wonder our society is falling apart at the seams - maturity and responsibility play second fiddle to fame and wealth.

We all know about the rotten mothers, but I blame the media for giving them so much publicity. Every week the celeb magazines are full of useless information about Kerry Katona, Jade Goody, Jordan,Etc, They are obsessed.
