Married for 26 years. Always compromise on situations but never on love and trust.
Read the posts and agree that you always have to keep your relationship fresh by telling your wife/husband/partner that you love them everyday. Stay faithful and honest with each other. Never bottle up your troubles , share them, and yes if the situation warrants it a good old argument to clear the air workes wonders because the making up aftewards is magic.

Every night I give my wife a kiss on her forehead and tell her I love her...even if we've been arguing all day...even if she makes me mad at times I know I love her - so tell her.
This has solved many arguments many times and by doing so you show that the argument doesn't change the way you feel about your partner! Helps distance the argument from your relationship :)
