What would put you off buying a new home?
Being too near to another house as I prefer to live in a detached house with my own space around me. That way no one gets the chance to cause me any bother through troublesome things like parking problems and noisiness. I used to live near people who bugged the hell out of me never again!
Other people's Screaming kids around me!!!!!
Rubbish lying around, obvious signs of vandalism like graffiti, smashed glass on the road, groups of youths hanging about with nothing better to be doing.
A giveaway about the area is what types of cars are around, if the area is full of old, rundown, rusty cars which don't appear looked after, then it is not a very desirable area. Better areas have newer cars and more family cars which mean it is a more family friendly area.
Used to live in Southfields, Northampton. Worst place I ever lived, thankfully only renting and have now gotten out of there. It was a dirty area with people chucking rubbish into your garden, old broken down cars everywhere and the people were just anti social louts!
In the time we lived there, six or seven cars were broken into or were crashed into by hit and run drivers/joy-riders.
My husbands car was scratched and dented. My own car was scratched and some lovely person poured a whole tin of white gloss paint over my car from front to back.
The people are just rude and selfish and just not worth getting to know, someone threatened to smash up our car just because it looked like his and because we parked in his supposed parking bay even though the bays are not allocated to any particular house.
Southfields, Northampton. The worst place to live ever!!!
being near a council estate !
