Britons in social housing who aren’t working or actively seeking employment should be kicked out, according to new housing minister Caroline Flint. Do you agree?

When i employ anyone, providing you can ccnvince me that you're capable of doing the work, then the jobs your's assuming you accept the pay offered. But be under no illusions that there is no automatic right for an annual inflation busting pay-rise, you get that when i'm convinced your'e worth it, a price is put on the work and fail to meet that wortkload, its eityher a pay cut, or you're up the road.
look at it this way 'do council tenants deserve jobs' I mean you can single out any group and pick on them everyone 'needs' a job a source of income and role in life what is under question here the despicable prejudices of this country these people are not interested in helping people to improve their lot, they only want to help themselves alienate others and let them descend into violence and poverty, isn't it enough having half a world full of enemies outside never mind being full of enemies within as well? They will all captilise on the incoherence of this place and it serve as a warning, what is going on out there in the world, the whole middle east up in flames africa up in flames all rivals at each others throats and yet STILL people here do the same things and treat their own neighbours in the same way their only fortune is that not everybody is as willing to cut the next person's throat as they are in some places in the world but the growing hostility between people is leading things in that direction what is the final result nobody gets any peace or enjoyment in life so pretend you're having a good time and that life is better for you, you can only lie to yourself!
Why wait for jobs? Why not set up in business? Why always look to others to provide jobs for you. It's a malaise running through our society that the capacity to use that grey matter on your shoulders is non existent.
Biggles i can really sympathise with your comments, i'm 68 years old, worked all my life until i had a heart attack, i'm also a diabetic along with being COPD, although i managed to pay off my mortgage, and dont face eviction, i find that i may need to find a residence without stairs, which i cant afford to buy, and the property i own isnt really worth that much, so selling up and taking on another mortgage is out of the question, yet i see Muslim families being given housing benifit on properties worth over a £1000 000, on the very rare occasion i was out of work, the DHSS would never have paid my mortgage repayments on a property of that value. Something is radically wrong in this country, as now i'm informed that i might have to be means tested on my benifit and miniscule company pension, or find work!!!!!!!!
I have worked all my life, I served my country in the Coldstream Guards, guarded the Queen, went to sea, when I came out of the army and have had numerous other jobs (some good & some bad) and I have never been unemployed.
I was stopped in my tracks when I was diagnosed with MS. As a result I couldn't keep up with the mortgage payments and basically had to sell my home.
Anyone who thinks I should be made to work because I had to apply for a Council house to look after my family can look at themeselves with shame and get a reality check! Better still that......
These people that say 'YES' mostly have stupid or one sentence comments as they have little or no idea what they are talking about!
I would love to meet these people in the pub face to face and tell me I should get a job

Should council tenants be forced to get a job?
