Britons in social housing who aren’t working or actively seeking employment should be kicked out, according to new housing minister Caroline Flint. Do you agree?

NO they should be the first to be made redundant and stay at home on benefits so that homeowners remain employed to pay our mortgages.
of course they should.why should they get there rent paid by us we would all like that but some of us have more pride.
Rachel, quite correct, Labour is only interested in screwing as much money as the can out of the hard working, or even the unemployed!
In Manchester they tried to implement a Congestion Charge, which thankfully failed, the reason for that was to get even more money off the motorist, why are the buses still in private hands? did they actually think that the gen public were that gullible to believe them that had this Con charge gone threw, the fares would shoot up! All this Govt, has done, is fine tune the policies that the Thatcher Govt. introduced, why has Manchesters Town Hall have a whole dept of staff that havent got official jobs, their just kept on the payroll! This Govt. brought in the no smoking laws, that abroad you could apply for a local smoking licence, for one or more rooms in a bar/pub/club restaraunt depending on public demand, why cant we have that? Brown was never elected!!
caroline flint whomever she is is talking through her hat
what does she know about people living in council houses and why they are there , perhaps she needs to speak to people before she spouts such dribble ,
I always thought council houses were for people who couldnt afford to buy or rent privately , where does she expect everyone to go on the streets ????
there are more homeless people and people on the dole through labour policies than I have ever seen ,
perhaps she needs to talk to a few of them ,
Why are the goverment still selling off the council houses? they made enough fuss when maggi brought this right in but have done nothing to change things , All they are trying to do is privatise the council houses
I THOUGHT LABOUR STOOD FOR THE UNDERPRIVALEGED , NOT ANY MORE .
obviously people should work if they are able
THere are many people on benefit from council houses and also private houses. All the people, irrespective of their housing situation should be made to take employment if they are fit and able to work and leave the benefit for unfortunate people who are unable to work through illness or people caring for sick relations. Benefit should not be a way of life for all and sundry who are capable of working but have no wish to.

Should council tenants be forced to get a job?
