They may keep out nosy neighbours but net curtains are a no-no in a modern home.
l have nets at my windows to stop people nosing into my house...but l wouldn't give house room to these horrible, fussy, frilly things. l like my nets to be plain and brilliant white.
Abi 07:43 says "what possesses ppl to hang these in their windows?
I think you mean from their windows and usually ppl we taste luv who dont feel they need the world and all see their belongings as they walk by.
nothing wrong with good old fashioned nets-even the police say they are a detterant to the low life thieves who stalk our homes-keep nosy neighbours out of our buisness, people take too much notice of the loony tv prog's that are on these days ie: 60 min' make over etc" stand up to them and make your home your own...
I live on busy road which is a bus route as well as a popular walking route for two schools and a train station. If I didn't have my net curtains then all and sundry would be able to see my possessions, whether I am cleaning or sitting with a cup of tea, whether I am cuddling my husband or arguing with him.............
I think I'll stick to my net curtains just like everyone else in this road!
plain net curtans are ok but lacy ones are realy old fashioned my fave are coloured ones and i hate the minimalist look, i mean who wants to come home to a house that looks like its just been moved into but with out the boxes. I am proud to say i have purple/blue ( irdecent fabric) net curtans in my room
